When and why did you first become interested in gymnastics? I went with a friend to parent’s night out event and asked my parents to sign me up for gymnastics.

When did you decide you wanted to compete? And, when did you want to compete at a high level? I was put on a pre-team when I was younger and knew then that I wanted to be on team one day and compete.

What is your training regimen? I train 25+ hours a week.

What is your favorite event? Bars

What is your favorite skill? My double front half bar dismount

What music do you use for your floor routine? It’s a mixture of music choreographed by Dominic Zito.

Who is your favorite gymnast or who is your “idol”? Maggie Nichols

How have you grown as a gymnast during your career, both skill wise and mentally? I have grown so much in my gymnastics career. My skills have improved, increased in difficulty every year and I have really been focusing on consistency.

How has gymnastics helped you as a person? Gymnastics has helped me become a more confident person and to not be afraid of hard work.

If you had to select one life-lesson that gymnastics has taught you, what would it be? Gymnastics has taught me to never give up on your dreams!!

What are your biggest accomplishments or best memories in your career? My biggest accomplishments are qualifying to the Nastia Liukin Cup in 2016 and 2018. Also, winning vault, floor and the All-Around at JO Nationals in 2017 and committing to LSU.

What grade are you in school? I am in the 10th grade.

Do you want to compete in collegiate gymnastics? Absolutely, I have verbally committed to LSU for a full athletic scholarship. GEAUX TIGERS!

What are your favorite subjects, etc.? Math is my favorite subject

If you plan to go to college, do you know what you want to study there? I am undecided on my major.

What are your goals for the future, both as an athlete and after you are finished competing? My goals for the future are to make the JO National team again and win a National Championship with LSU.

When you’re not in the gym, how do you enjoy spending your time? Do you have any hobbies or favorite activities? I enjoy spending time with my friends, shopping and baking.

What is your favorite food? Grilled chicken, fruit & pasta

What is your favorite movie? Pitch Perfect

What is your favorite book? The Divergent series books.

What is your favorite music group? Drake and Post Malone

Do you have any competition rituals? Lucky charms? I have a pair of “lucky” socks that I wear to every meet and I wear 5 hair bands

What’s on your IPod right now? What type of music do enjoy listening to? How about before a meet when you’re trying to get focused and pumped up? A mixture of music; I listen to the same playlist with a variety of music before every meet.

I was put on pre-team when I was younger and knew then that I wanted to be on team and compete one day.
