Q: Do you have a nickname?
A: Gabby and Gabs

Q: When and why did you first become interested in gymnastics?
A: My mom put me in gymnastics when I was 3 years old because I was a very active baby.

Q: When did you decide you wanted to compete?
A: When I was 6, the head coach asked my parents if she could put me on the team.

Q: What about competition appeals to you?
A: I like getting medals and performing in front of the judges to show them what I can do. I hope to one day become an elite gymnast.

Q: What is your favorite event?
A: Vault is my favorite event. My vault coach has such a positive attitude and makes me want to try harder.

Q: Who is your favorite gymnast or who is your “idol”?
A: My favorite gymnast is Simone Biles.

Q: How has gymnastics helped you as a person?
A: I’m more disciplined and focused.

Q: What are your biggest accomplishments or best memories in your career?
A: One of my favorite moments was meeting Simone at the Texas Prime meet.

Q: What grade are you in school, and where do you go to school?
A: I’m in eighth grade and I go to Elite Learning Academy.

Q: What are your favorite subjects, etc.?
A: My favorite subject is history because I find it interesting.

Q: If you plan to go to college, do you know what you want to study there?
A: I want to be a veterinarian because I love animals.

Q: When you’re not in the gym, how do you enjoy spending your time? Do you have any hobbies or favorite activities? Charities?
A: I like to ride dirt bikes with my dad.

Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Pizza

Q: What’s on your iPod right now? What type of music do enjoy listening to? How about before a meet when you’re trying to get focused and pumped up?
A: I love listening to Justin Bieber’s new album.

A: Powerful, fierce and clean lines

A: Funny, compassionate and hard working
