Q: What is your favorite skill?
A: My favorite skill is a double layout dismount off bars.
Q: What music do you use for your floor routine?
A: My floor routine music is called Fiddle Faddle.
Q: Who is your favorite gymnast or who is your “idol”?
A: My idol is Simone Biles.
Q: How have you grown as a gymnast during your career, both skill wise and mentally?
A: Mentally I have become much stronger at blocking negative things out of my mind. Skill wise, I have learned harder skills and improved my technique.
Q: How has gymnastics helped you as a person?
A: I think gymnastics has helped me become an independent person who is extremely goal oriented. It has also helped me discover the reward in being a part of a team.
Q: If you had to select one life-lesson that gymnastics has taught you, what would it be?
A: Gymnastics has taught me to never give up and push through the hard times.
Q: What are your biggest accomplishments or best memories in your career?
A: My biggest accomplishment so far is qualifying for Western Nationals and placing 1st on bars at that meet. Also, qualifying for the Nastia Liukin Cup!
Q: What grade are you in school, and where do you go to school?
A: I am in ninth grade and go to Sunnyslope High School.
Q: Do you want to compete in collegiate gymnastics?
A: Yes.
Q: If you plan to go to college, do you know what you want to study there?
A: When I go to college I plan on studying engineering.
Q: What are your goals for the future, both as an athlete and after you are finished competing?
A:. After I finish competing, I would like to become an engineer.
Q: When you’re not in the gym, how do you enjoy spending your time? Do you have any hobbies or favorite activities? Charities?
A: When I am not at the gym, I like to be creative and work on fun art projects. One charity that I work with is K2 Foundation.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: My favorite type of food is Mexican food.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: The Devil Wears Prada.
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: Divergent.
Q: What is your favorite music group?
A: the Script.
Q: Do you have any competition rituals? Lucky charms?
A: Yes. I always do my hair the same way before a competition.
Q: If you had to pick 3 words to describe yourself as a gymnast, what are they?
A: Focused, strong, and determined.
