Q: When and why did you first become interested in gymnastics?
A: When I was about six years old, I would watch my older sister compete, and I knew I wanted to do the same thing. It looked like so much fun.
Q: Do you have any good/funny memories from when you first started taking gymnastics classes?
A: In Level 5, I was competing on floor, and my sister started cheering for me in the middle of my routine. She yelled so loud that I forgot what I was doing – I just stood there confused.
Q: What is your training regimen?
A: I train 30 hours per week.
Q: What is your favorite event?
A: My favorite event is floor.
Q: What is your favorite skill?
A: My favorite skill is full-in on floor.
Q: Who is your favorite gymnast or who is your “idol”?
A: My favorite gymnast has always been Shawn Johnson.
Q: If you had to select one life-lesson that gymnastics has taught you, what would it be?
A: Gymnastics has taught me perseverance.
Q: What are your biggest accomplishments or best memories in your career?
A: Winning Level 10 regionals and qualifying to the Nastia Cup.
Q: What grade are you in school, and where do you go to school?
A: I am a Freshman, and I’m homeschooled.
Q: Do you want to compete in collegiate gymnastics?
A: Yes, I would like to compete in collegiate gymnastics.
Q: What are your favorite subjects, etc.?
A: My favorite subject is Spanish.
Q: If you plan to go to college, do you know what you want to study there?
A: I would like to study nursing.
Q: When you’re not in the gym, how do you enjoy spending your time? Do you have any hobbies or favorite activities? Charities?
A: When I’m not in the gym I like to relax, watch movies, and draw.

A: My older sister did gymnastics up to Level 8 then cheered. My younger sister is a Level 9 gymnast.

A: I like to listen to music before competitions, it pumps me up.
