Coleman, Mitchell claim last qualifying spots before Sunday’s Nastia Liukin Cup

Senior JJ Coleman (Albuquerque, N.M./G Force Gymnastics) and junior Gabbie Mitchell (Lawrenceville, Ga./Georgia Elite) have claimed the last two qualifying spots to the 2024 Nastia Liukin Cup following performances at the Kentucky Winter Classic, being held in conjunction with the USA Gymnastics events in downtown Louisville.

The full 44-athlete field is now set for Nastia Liukin Cup competition, where junior and senior Level 10 athletes will vie for all-around titles on Sunday. Avery Neff (South Jordan, Utah/Olympus Gymnastics) will look to defend her shared senior gold medal in 2023, while the junior title will be up for grabs.

This will be the first time both Coleman and Mitchell will participate in the event.

The Nastia Liukin Cup was created by 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin in 2010, designed to highlight USA Gymnastics’ Women’s Development Program Level 10 athletes. Fans can find all information about the 2024 Nastia Liukin Cup on the event website, including ticketing and streaming information.
